Esther Spodek (We Have Everything Before Us), Nancy Burke (Undergrowth), and I (In Their Ruin) will be reading our work at the Evanston Library on Wednesday, April 23rd, at 6:30. 1703 Orrington Avenue. Refreshments.
And then on Tuesday May 6th, I am helping to organize an Open Mic at Albany Park Library on the theme Meeting the Political Moment with featured author and psychotherapist Nancy Burke who has reacted to the second Trump election by urgently writing a novel. She will talk about her experience and read from her just finished novel.
The Open Mic invites you to read poetry, prose, journal entries or maybe even to sing a song as you meet the political moment with your creativity. Plan on about 5 minutes and come early to sign up. 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room at Albany Park Library, 3401 W. Foster. Refreshments. Street Parking or Limited Parking in the back of the Library.

Neat – thanks for letting me know.
